Lofty Day

Today I’m going to spend the day in my loft, which is where I craft. I have a swap card to make, valentine cards to make and a few birthday cards too…..I’m going to be a busy bee. My husband is down in the shop getting the wood stove going. My loft is in our pole building/shop/garage. I really enjoy going in there, but it’s difficult cause it’s cold. Hubby goes back to work in a week or so, then I won’t have any fires hardly until a weekend. I have too hard of a time trying to get the fire going. Sometimes I can KEEP it going if it’s already been going for awhile…….gonna go get myself together and head on down there. Have a GREAT day!

My Hobbys

I have a few things I do all the time and then things I do every once in awhile. I love scrapbooking. I have made quite a few books. Usually photos from trips, or photos when family comes to see us…..and special occasions……for example, I did my husband any my 10th wedding anniversary, a 30 year class reunion, and others. I also make greeting cards. I use a scrapbooking machine for most of it. I belong to a card swapping group and that keeps me busy making cards, plus I make all friends and family birthday cards and other special occasion cards. Then, I also paint, do mixed media, mosaic, and diamond paintings……I also make all my Christmas cards, around 50 of them.

What’s your dream job?

I wish I had had a mathematical mind. My dream job was an architect. I love houses of all kinds. I go online very day and just look at houses all day. When I was a child, I used to take white paper and draw house designs. Yes, being an architect would have been the perfect job for me…..

surgery

My husband has surgery tomorrow. He has a tumor up in his sinus cavities….its large but benign, thank goodness. I’m sorry I’ve been neglectful of my blog. Life just happens. I haven’t been in the greatest of moods, but I’m trying. I will be home taking care of him for 1-2 weeks…..

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2025!

Wishing you all a year full of blessings, fun, love. I hope you all had a great Christmas! We had 2 celebrations. One with one friend on Christmas and then with our two married friends on a different day. What made me happy this year, is the company mostly. The food was decent and I enjoyed some NFL.

I am going to research and find a homeopathic doctor.

One week to Christmas

Been busy cleaning house, wrapping presents, and finalizing the menu for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I got all my Christmas cards mailed two days ago. I also mailed off several packages. The tree looks great! I bought those pine smelling sticks that you hang on your fake tree…they smell great. On Christmas Eve, I’m wearing pink and white. I have a pink and white Santa hat too. Christmas Day, I’m going old school with red, green and gold.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season!

The woodstove

My craft room is done except wall and ceiling hangings……the loft (my craftroom) is in the shop. It’s cold in there until Don gets a fire going…..I have been taught over and over to light a fire and keep it going. I cannot seem to do either one….lol. So, I have to wait until he gets up. I’m a very early riser and, sometimes, it’s hard to wait for 5 or 6 hours until he gets up. I was up at 2:30 this morning…..have a fabulous day!
